Dive with shore entry at Famara, designed for Refresh divers with group control, reading of the local current and a route adapted to sea conditions.
History and context
Famara is part of the usual diving routes in Lanzarote. The page combines scenic value, local marine life and the recurring operations of centres and clubs in the Canaries.
Entry
Shore entry with a prior check of the exit point, swell and visual references for the return.
Suggested route
Gradual descent, main route over rock and posidonia, turn at half tank and return along the shallow contour for added safety.
Bottom
Volcanic seabed with boulders, sand and marked changes in relief.
